This Music Production degree level course is suitable for those interested in either classic music production, contemporary electronic music creation or both and it will provide you with an advanced skill set in recording and music production techniques. There are core music related modules that cover key aspects of studio production, synthesis, listening aesthetics, mastering and creative music production. You will study for an HNC in year 1 and can progress to HND in year 2.
While no less rigorous than a BA (Hons) pathway, the HNC/D Degree is more vocational, with most assignments written to either reflect industry practice or enable you to build a professional portfolio of work. You can also top it up to a full BA (Hons) with one further year of full-time study.
