Turn your performance 'up to 11' in this fantastic foundation degree programme - alongside the technical and creative work, you will be developing your understanding of the music industry and how you can make a living from it. During this course you will master the technology that supports performance, record and produce your own music and learn to use technology as an extension of your instrument.

Alongside the technical and creative work you will be developing your personal and business skills which include, event management, online business, budgeting and finance management, career strategy, project management, PR and marketing.

A HOME TO HONE YOUR SKILLS
As with all dBs Music centres, students will find industry experienced staff, excellent equipment and a relaxed learning environment. Day-to- day the course is delivered through seminars, workshops, group work, performances, studio work and individual practice sessions. You will develop a routine of professional practice based around your instrument and the skills you need to develop.
REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE
Throughout the course, there are multiple opportunities for you to gain real world experience.
There are multiple performance opportunities throughout the two years, you will plan and manage public performances in and around Cornwall. In addition you'll be working with our production students as recording artists and session musicians.
You will learn from tutors who are actively working in the industry: recording artists, composers, sound engineers and musicians.
The course also benefits from our extensive guest lecture programme, meeting leading industry professionals.

UCAS Points: 48 Points
Qualifications: AS/A-Levels or relevant level 3 qualification i.e. BTEC National Diploma/BTEC Extended Diploma at PPP, Access to HE Diplomas.
Plus GCSEs at grade C or above in English Language and Mathematics: alternatives at Level 2 may be considered.
If you fall short of these qualifications you might want to consider our Access to HE Diploma or one of our other diploma courses.
COURSE FEES & STUDENT FINANCE
The tuition fees for the 2017/2018 academic year:
UK and EU full-time fees: £7,500 per year
Students on this course are also official students of Cornwall College, and can apply to Student Finance for a tuition fee loan to cover the full cost of your course. There are also loans available to help you cover living costs too.
