Obsessed with creating music and dream of being a producer or floor-filling DJ? Our Electronic Music Production pathway is built for you. You’ll learn the latest techniques, get hands-on with industry-standard equipment and learn how to craft your artistic aesthetic. You’ll also learn how to make money as a working musician in the real world.

Music Production & Sound Engineering

Staying behind the scenes and helping bring someone else’s artwork to life is the role of any great producer or sound engineer. Our Music Production & Sound Engineering programme is designed to prepare you for these industry roles. This degree will develop your listening, mixing, remixing and mastering skills as well as cultivate your knowledge of acoustics, psychoacoustics, music technology and much more. Like all of our degrees, there is a strong emphasis on professional development, so you’ll learn on industry-grade equipment and have plenty of opportunities to gain experience on real-world projects.

FdA Sound & Music Technology

If you’re not quite sure which degree is right for you, the FdA Sound & Music Technology pathway gives you a broad perspective of the sound industry and the chance to develop skills across a wide range of music and audio technology disciplines. After two years and armed with a clearer idea of what you want to do, you’ll be able to ‘Top Up’ your FdA to a bachelor’s, specialising in either Music Production & Sound Engineering or Electronic Music Production.

MA Electronic Music Production

Our Electronic Music Production master's is perfect for recent graduates of music production or music tech degrees, as well as budding electronic musicians who have the relevant experience to qualify for the course. During this master's degree, you will be challenged to craft boundary-pushing music and learn concepts that will enable you to increase your artistic output and earn a living from your skills.

MA Music Production & Sound Engineering

By studying our Music Production & Sound Engineering master's, you will cultivate an advanced understanding of mixing and mastering processes, learning how to become a professional engineer and make a living from your expertise. You’ll also understand how to set up and execute commercial ventures and create an original major project which focuses on a specific area of music production. You will develop vital research and project management skills in the process.
